FIRST® inspires young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to build robots capable of competing in that year's game that weigh up to 125 pounds (57 kg).
We are the official FRC Team of our beautiful island nation Barbados . The Team started in 2018 with our creative journey commencing at the Combermere School were we have been developing and build new and better robots. Our Competition in 2018 was our most notable was our team was recognised and praised for high-creativity and critical thinking building such as : a complex robot as rookies . The Competition in Quatar 2019 was an affirmitive success as we worked together with other nations as a coheart to propel are creative mission and robotic skills. Since that competition the world was faced with the panademic Covid-19 , at that moment in time we served our nation the best way we could . We serve our nation by utilizing our creativee and skills to build a robot which determines the safe dstance of 6 ft. Understanding FRT 8191 journey and who we are, the competition in March 2021 we will stepp into a new frontier elevating our creative but also build strong ties with other nations .
